The new prints exhibition brings a synthesis of several spiritual breakthroughs which she managed to do in her recent cycles. She named her work of art Ethno-Graphics that is an amalgamation of the national love for visual beauties by researching the embroidery series (of which she had a very successful exhibition) and by perception of her creative and personal position. All these brought us a dozen of wonderful visual visions, skillfully done in printmaking. The works of art of Tatjana Maneva, as they always do, make us rejoice and give us a spiritual support by their joy of life expressed through the tools of the storyteller of tenuous adventures. Kiril Temkov, PhD Tatjana Maneva makes a poetic synthesis of her previous and present works, of all her obsessive directions, both formal and temporal and universal too. Densified in a poetical and contemplative definition, they are now a creative synthesis, a perfection and nobleness of the visual physiognomy, and individuality in a real philosophical, existentialist dialogue with and about the time, with and about the universe. Dora Andova Foteva Tatjana Maneva’s paintings are a search for a lost body (recherché d’un corps), the living body of the world lost in history, blinded by the flashy multicolored lights of neon signs, a body that has lost its shadow, uncontrollably growing and irrepressibly spreading, a location of metastasis, a body under anesthetics, inebriated with its self-absorption, eating itself and creating itself from miniature cells, matrices and memories, a body that is a shell of its former self, a cliché, a code, an empty form, a pose, décor, image… You must dive into and beyond the painting, into the living and breathing body of the world that has no a priori forms but rather contains the light and source and sanctity of all colors, the origin of the chromatic substances that comprise the painting, into the abyss and the emptiness of the pictorial body, into the space where forms incubate, where the matrix of all forms and beings and things resides, into the body of the world that has been found and renewed yet again. This is the secret behind Tatjana Maneva’s paintings and the beginning of the drama of true mysteries. Emil Aleksiev Maneva’s latest production is, in fact, a continuation of her previous research and is a step forward in the development of the already set basic concept – complexly structured floral motifs in the form of branched, intertwined fractals through which life energy flows, slowly conquering space and adapting to the terrain’s configuration. Unlike her previous works, the branching entity is not entirely in a free space, while the configuration it needs to adapt to is a female body. The background is no longer a morning or evening sky, but a black base with or without floral decoration. Maneva is thus making a symbiosis between flora and fauna, creating a superior being that incorporates the most perfect forms of both species. The female body, as a perfectly designed physical organism, with motherly and creative predispositions, with a bloodstream in a floral fractal expansion, undoubtedly symbolizes the format of life on this planet.
